Is Your Computer Running Slowly?
PC's
have a tendency to run slowly the longer you
use them due to software updates and add-ons
that get installed on your computer. Add-on
toolbars such as Google or Yahoo may slow
your PC down. Some anti-virus/firewall
software and adware/pop-up-blockers will
sometime cause PC's to perform at a snails
pace. To help maintain efficient performance
on your computer, you may choose to remove
any toolbars that are running using the
"Add/Remove Programs" in your control panel.
In addition, it's only necessary to run one
virus program on your system at a time.
Remove all but one of your virus programs to
improve performance. Increasing RAM in your
system is a low-cost upgrade and almost
always adds significant performance. For
additional information, feel free to give us
a call or you can bring your computer into
our service center to let our techs optimize
your system.

What is happening when you're AWAY?

Do you know what's happening when you're not
at home or out of the office? Do you
ever come home or back to the office and
something is out of place and no one should
have been there? You should consider the
idea of a "nanny cam." A nanny cam is no
longer just a spy cam to secretly view who's
watching your kids. Now you can use a covert
camera in every day life. With advances in
technology you don't need a member of Mensa
to install surveillance equipment. You can
use an all in one "ready to go" camera/dvr. The
Stealth Cam Recluse (as pictured) is a
low-cost way to keep an eye things while
you're not watching. Visit ourretail
showroom for
a demonstration or take a look at our
Stealth Camera options on our
webstore.

Choosing the best
Internet Connection.....
Many
of our clients ask us what we recommend for
Internet Access. There are several choices
available for Internet Access depending on
availability at your home or office.
Determining the best connection depends on
this availability as well as your specific
needs. Most of our business and residential
clients use DSL or Cable broadband services.
If speed is your biggest concern, then cable
is a great way to go since it's about 3
times faster than DSL. If reliability is
your biggest concern, then DSL may be a
better choice because the data runs across
the same wires as your telephone line. Some
of our business clients install a "T1" to
supply their Internet Access. T1's generally
supply adequate speed and they provide the
highest reliability for mission-critical
applications because the data is supplied by
fiber-optics or special wires and monitored
by the phone company. From a cost
perspective, DSL averages about $50-90/mo,
Cable costs $75-90/mo., and T1's cost
$350-500/mo. If you need additional
information on what would work best for you,
feel free to give us a call.
